1991 Lotus Elan M100 Good Condition. Please ask any questions up front, and please don't make an offer if you can't follow through. If you are looking at my ad, you are likely familiar with these cars, but just in case, here is some history. The Lotus Elan M100, launched in 1989, was a two-seater, convertible sports car designed by Peter Stevens and produced by Lotus whilst under the ownership of General Motors. The M100 Elans cornering performance was undeniable.
On release the Elan was described by Autocar magazine as the quickest point to point car available. Altogether 3,855 Elans were built between November 1989 and July 1992, including 129 normally aspirated (non-turbo) cars. The car runs, shifts, drives, brakes well. The interior while comfortable could use a clean and a refresh. Back window is clear, but the top could use some repair. All wheels straight with no curbing. Tires have decent tread, but are old, and likely best to replace them. It is presentable Car was repainted and it looks good from 5 feet. Few indications of the respray. But if you want to show this car, I would suggest that some paint work be done.
Zero body damage and fiberglass is in good shape. Currently the car has a power steering rack which is a bit noisy, but works fine.
Lots of receipts and documentation. A few extra parts included. However transportation of the car is at the buyers expense.Remaining within 3 days unless arranged otherwise.
